It has been a month since google announced the chrome OS project (FAQ). The OS will be open sourced sometime this Fall and the first series of chrome-installed netbooks will come out right afterwards. There are a lot of expectations about this OS and it may potentially open a whole new era of desktop applications. Although 'desktop' may no longer be an appropriate word, as most people think that the Chrome OS will be purely 'web-based'. Either way, the general trend is that traditional desktop applications will move into the web, and end-users devices, either that being PC or mobile device will merge towards each other. Operating systems, such as Android and Chrome OS will therefore become the major players of this brand-new game. Well, what can we do ? Let's write applications on them ! :-)

Just got news that Mobile Market (China Mobile) will be opened in Mid August. The share ratio is confirmed at 3:7 between the platform provider (CM) and third-party developers. There will be no fees for publishing the application and CM is even recruiting end-users for app testing (sounds too good to be true eh.. ^_^!). Having heard that CM has just held their first development training seminar in GuangZhou, it makes us 'homesick' and feeling more urgent to speed up the progress. Bravo~~
